Interested in an Author visit at your school with Christine D’Amico?

Christine D’Amico is the author of Higgledy-Piggledy, a book about the power a young girl named Mabel finds in learning a new crazy-sounding word at school. In addition to a book reading, her visits also include grade-appropriate activities which inspire creative thinking and get the children excited about reading and writing. Christine can be flexible in how she works with your elementary school children; however she prefers to work with 1-2 intact classes at a time, getting each child as involved as possible in the hour long visit. Christine is happy to add book signings and special lunches with students or teachers to for a fun and educational visit.

A Visit from Christine D’Amico is a great opportunity for your K – 5^th grader to:

· Get excited about the idea of learning new words.

· Talk with an author about books, writing, and creative inspiration.

· Learn how a book is made.

· Think about their own creativity and what they might want to do with it.
