All the work of the chapter is done by unpaid volunteers, but when everyone helps the work is easy. Volunteers are important to keep our chapter running smoothly. We thank each and every one of our volunteers for making our chapter the special group it is. If you have any suggestions for ways that volunteers can help make our chapter an even more vital resource for writers and illustrators of children's books, please email our Assistant Regional Advisor, Patricia Morris Buckley at ra-asst@sandiego-scbwi.org One final note. While ALL chapter positions are volunteer and unpaid, including the Regional Advisor and Assistant Regional Advisor, we do pay small honorariums to speakers at our regular chapter meetings, workshops and conferences. We also hire service providers from time to time for services such as web hosting, printing, shipping and mailing. All such services are paid for by the fees collected at chapter events and newsletter subscriptions. Chapter Opportunities: Are You Ready to Get Involved?
